World Foods R Us in Littleport!

We have Turkish Kebabs, Chinese take-aways, a Polish Delicatessen and two really good Indian restaurants as well as a Steak House that serves non native to these shores exotic game among the traditionally English fish and chip shops…

If you have a hankering for Asian cuisine there are two places in Littleport who can oblige.

Mamun Rashid, one of the many Gunners fans in the village, is uniquely Managing Director of the Spice Lounge on the corner of Granby and Wellington Street at number 19, CB61NE. Proud of their 5 star rating, this family run eaterie also offers live entertainment while you dine on July 3rd with what promises to be a spectacular ‘Tribute to Freddie Mercury’ with Gary Goodmaze. This is at less than the price of a seat for a West End show at £30 including your meal!

The Indian Garden at 13 Victoria Street, CB61LU, is the oldest established Indian restaurant in Littleport and serves both Indian and Bangladeshi food. The management offer a special ‘Littleport Night’ every Wednesday when you can eat in or take-away a set 5 course meal for £13.50p. On the 21st of August they are hosting a Jazz Night that includes a four course meal for £29.90p. This is bookable but you will have to pay a deposit of course at the time of reservation.

So there is no need to step outside the village boundary to find yourself transported to another continent or country for an enjoyable albeit short visit – and no need of planes, trains or boats either!
