With now over 150 members including local organizations, we have really grown exchanging over 4,700 hours in help and time in just less than 5 years.
We have a lot of new faces bringing in their own skills and abilities to share with fellow Timebank members in our community from bee keeping, to cookery sharing to gardening, our Timebank has skills on tap to share.
Each week we bring you the Timebank news via our facebook page (Littleport and Ely Timebank) and twitter (@Littleporttime) to share what the members have been up to and where we will be. If you’ve anything you think we could do or would like to think about volunteering yourself with our support just ask! Our volunteers are only too happy to help guide you in the right direction.
I hear so many people say they have nothing to offer but we need people who are just willing to give an hour of their time to also sit and befriend people who wouldn’t normally have much social contact. All you need for this is an ear and a friendly manner. We provide DBS checks and are fully checked too.
We have people who help out at fundraising events-either spending an hour or two on a stall talking with people and selling tombola tickets or even baking a cake to raise on-going funds for the Timebank!
For every hour you put in you can also earn a credit to use yourself or take out as a ‘currency’ note where you can ‘spend’ nationwide! Please contact us for details.
Our weekly coffee mornings happen on Thursday mornings from 10am at the Adams Heritage Centre in Littleport for anyone that would like to join us for a cuppa and a chat. There are very friendly people waiting and willing to speak with you, make you feel welcome and answer any other questions you may have.
