Littleport Lions club held a ‘Win Every Time’ soft toy Tombola at Soham’s Pumpkin Fair at the end of September, and we raised some much needed funds after a break, because of Covid, of 18 months. The fair was very well attended with very nice weather on the day.
Two local ladies deserve a mention for all their hard work making soft toys for our club. A big thank you to Rosemary and Shirley for all your wonderful efforts, it is very much appreciated.
We have also restarted our used spectacle and hearing aid collection for third world countries and also homeless charities in the UK. You can leave them at Wades, Specsavers, Boots Opticans in Ely, Loach & Wade in Littleport and Soham and also Emmaus near Landbeach.
We have resumed our Sunday afternoon meetings at Adams Heritage Centre in Littleport, if you would like to come along to find out what we do and you would be very welcome with tea and biscuits to start the meeting. We usually meet on the 1st Sunday of the month.
