Running the Distance! Littleport keeps on running!
It is good to hear that Littleport’s popular parkrunning is still continuing but in a different format to the usual large group turnout, with smaller groups of running buddies. They’ve been actively meeting up nearly every Saturday both at the familiar parkrunning venue at Littleport Leisure and around Littleport, and the former has been the starting point for many a pre-registered virtual charity running event. These events have all been run under the government guidelines…

A ‘New Normal’? As I sat down to start to write this ‘piece’ for ‘Littleport Life, I suddenly realised that I am writing at the start of October, but you may not read this until December. Read MoreLittleport and an old skater’s dream of an outdoor ice stadium!
Most fairy stories begin with once upon a time, but this is no fairy story although it begins with that time-honoured phrase and ends with another, expressing a hoped-for ‘and they lived happily ever after!’ Once upon a time lots of ice speed skaters, bandy playing enthusiasts and thousands who just loved skating, including watching skating too, crowded into Littleport when the water on the Moors was frozen… How did this come about? A keen…

It is a difficult time to put a report in for the Club! With all the problems of Covid we have not had any meetings to look back on, and none at present to look forward to and with the restrictions altering all the time we really at present cannot see any meetings being held until March or April of 2021. The Committee organised a zoom meeting in October at which all of these problems…
