Andy Ross has been living in Littleport for about 3 years now. Like many incomers he has added to the well-being of people living in the village with the skills he brought with him.
From 9-5, Tuesday to Saturdays, you can find him at the YPL bicycle shop down Henry Crabbe Road, advising members of the public about all things to do with bicycle maintenance and doing repairs and restoration on second hand bikes.
These renovations are of a high quality, and when they are ready for sale, as Andy puts it, “You could say they are fully MOT’d and sparkling clean.”
The bike shop itself is open on Mondays too, 9-5, and although it’s Andy’s day off, Steve Malkin staff’s the shop, where very decent bikes are on sale from around £70 to £80 upward.
And of course, as proprietor Phil Malkin comments, “it’s the only shop in Littleport where people can get their own bikes fixed – as well as being able to buy one that’s new to them!”
