Spotlight on the Littleport Society

The Littleport Society has an unrivaled collection of historic exhibits illustrating the past centuries of Littleport’s fascinating history including maps, pictures, artifacts and manuscripts, as well as its unique library of genealogical documents which contain the family histories of so many Littleport’s residents from the past 400 years.

All this plethora of interesting ephemera is housed upstairs to the parish council offices at The Barn, Main Street, CB6 1PH.

They held a very successful weekend event there at the end of May, show-casing some present-day talented artists who live in Littleport.

As they said, “Who would have thought that Littleport village could boast such a wealth of talent!”

Exhibiting their work were established painters, sculptors, writers and poets, Magenta Kang, Fiona Lidgey Robinson, John Lyons, Victoria Hunt and Sukie Rix.

New members are always welcome. You can find them every Tuesday afternoon at The Barn, and meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
