Debra Jordan brings us News from Littleport Leisure

There may be rain or sun – but there is still something for everyone at the Centre. All are welcome – there is no membership fee to join any of the classes, to view the centre, or to use the café.

Sport is not everyone’s cup of tea! And so to give a more fun and social element in keeping active we are commencing our ‘Cheesy boogie nights’ where you can dance along with our holiday entertainer to all those cheesy hits from the Macarena and Oops upside your head, to la Bamba and many more.

This is about having fun with your family for children over 8, parents, grandparents and even great grandparents. This will be a one-hour class and, I promise, no exercises nor structured workouts. Revive your youth whilst reviving your heart!

The sun put its hat on for a few days in April and May, which encouraged us all to rush outside to absorb those very missed rays. Our terrace area was full of guests enjoying the food, beverages and sunshine.

Walking Netball on Wednesday evenings is very popular and Walking Cricket is starting early summer (over 14’s) with Walking Football later in the year.

We continue to increase our user groups with 5 new groups due to start in April, including Musical Theatre, two further classes of Yoga, Boxercise and Kickboxing.

Our gym is expanding. We are extending the gym into an extra room which includes the outdoor balcony. Fancy a spin outside? Circuits and other classes will utilise the upstairs balcony – weather permitting.

The café menu is varied and includes all the firm favourites plus gluten free, vegetarian and healthy options.

Our class timetable changes weekly. To view an up-to-date version, please visit our Facebook page: Littleport Leisure Centre or our web site www.littleportleisure.uk
