Littleport Rangers Football Club, sadly waved goodbye to Billy Holmes and his U13’s team this year after 9 years at the club. Writes Kate Pendle.
The team were promoted last year and competed in the ‘A’ league, finishing fourth. This is a great achievement following being champions of the ‘B’ league the year before season 2017/18.
We hosted a successful tournament for the first time in four years at Littleport Leisure’s Fun Day back in June. We had exclusive invite-only teams from the surrounding villages come and take part. Much fun was had by all. We this season welcome an additional U11 9v9 side taking us to 3 in this age group; good luck to the ‘Whites’ for the coming season.
Our youngest age group is rapidly expanding to the point of splitting at the seams. This is great for the club and the local community.
We don’t like to say no to new members but could do with some additional help to enable us to move forward. We are looking for people who would like to help coach at Littleport Rangers. The club will provide full training. As we progress, the club grows from strength to strength and without the support of all the volunteers involved, generosity of team sponsors and local businesses, we just could not exist. #Rangersbaby.
