363MCC Active in Lockdown

The activities of Littleport’s bikers are legendary – and for all the right reasons! Although the recent lockdown put a temporary stop to their usual pre-summer meetings 363MCC members were still busy.

May Day is always celebrated with the Crowning Around Bike Show that this year had to be cancelled. The profits are always given to charity, and the main beneficiary is always East Anglia’s Air Ambulance. Local charities are also awarded a cheque too.

But nothing daunted, the 363MCC’s president Mark Robinson decided to raise money for them on his birthday through his Facebook page.

Mark said: “Due to the current situation, we, as many others had to cancel our event, the Crowning Around Bike Show. But the problem being the main charity East Anglian Air Ambulance still needs our donations. So for the first time we set up an online donation and were overwhelmed with the response. So pleased that in these hard times, people can still spare their money for this wonderful cause. We cannot thank you enough.”

£1,362 was raised!

There was an alternative for the first rally of the year that also had to be cancelled. Called the ‘Arse in the Yard Rally’ all the participators had a really good time and the competition was fierce. Bike photos were posted and after judging, the best in each category, winners of Best British, Best American and so on, was announced.
