The Community Allotment has small plots of land available for residents from April 2011. An allotment has been divided into manageable sized plots. We share the rent to the Parish Council, and maintenance of a shed and a range of basic garden tools.
Success varies from year to year, depending on the weather and the time members have to work on their patch of land, but almost anything grows here: potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, leeks, salad crops, sweet corn, runner beans and french beans. Some fruits do very well: blackcurrants, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, rhubarb and gooseberries.
