January saw us enjoying our Annual Dinner at the High Flyer in Ely, a most delightful evening with delicious food. Ann White was presented with the Silver Plate for the most points gained during 2016 in our monthly competitions. Spring Forward in 2017 with the WI
The WI held its AGM in November 2016. After the annual report and treasurers report for the year ending 2016, the vote was taken for the coming year’s committee. The president and secretary wished to retire, and so this was attended to first, although they were both willing to remain on the committee. The new president was then voted in. Littleport WI has been exceptionally busy these last few weeks, having organised and taken part in the cleaning and repainting of the Littleport Village sign. The original sign was donated to the village in 1984 to commemorate the WI’s 75th anniversary and the new one installed in 2001.
